UP: We LOVE GOD by giving Him the worth, adoration, and attention He alone deserves. We see our relationship with the Maker and Master of all things as one defined by passionate worship. At Vineyard Florence, we are people of the presence who eagerly expect to hear from God. He loves us deeply and longs to connect with His children. We seek Him continually in prayer, experiencing God through the reality of His presence in personal and public ways regularly. We also experience and pursue God through the Spiritual Disciplines of daily times of prayer, Bible reading, regular fasting, generous giving, personal worship, intercession, meditation, journaling, weekly sabbath, spiritual soul rest, etc.

IN: We MAKE DISCIPLES by doing life together we’re Exercising “followship” in obeying Christ and through our fellowship with others in the family of God. We live as God’s kids by sharing in “fellowship” by being connected Body of Christ locally, in our homes, and globally. We know that there is strength in numbers, and if we stay together in Christ, we are stronger unified together than we are by ourselves. Love is our ethos and we express this in radical, accepting, purposeful, diverse, and committed disciple-making relationships. 

(Discipleship Groups, House Groups, Sun Shine Group for seniors, Men’s and Women’s Events, Celebrate Recovery) 

OUT: We IMPACT the WORLD by seeking to join Jesus on His Mission to reach others with the love, hope, and peace of Jesus' advancing and coming Kingdom. At Vineyard Florence, we have an insatiable missional zeal. We work this out by living to share Jesus generously and always with others we interact with at church, home, marketplace, community, etc. We are learning to begin thinking and acting like missionaries wherever God has planted us; we aim to have everything we think, say, and do to be used in love to draw others closer to Christ. We pray for the sick, care for the poor, and are friends with the lonely, hurting, depressed, and marginalized. We are compelled by love to share the good news with everyone we encounter.

VISION, values, mission & purpose

Our Visional priorities by 2030 are to:  

• Grow in spiritual clout within our city, the Vineyard USA, and global Kingdom movement

• Be a hub of prayer and worship leading and training in the movement

• Launch 100’s of new House and Discipleship Groups

• Raise up over 1,000 disciples who can operate in the Character and Competency of Jesus

• Be part of and send out scores of new church plants and ministries birthed from our local congregation

• See 50-100 children fostered and adopted within our church body

• Give away over $1,000,000 to Christ-centered missional, benevolent, and ministry planting purposes

• Be a place where people regularly hear from God, obey what they have heard, and teach others to do the same

• We will not live in debt and commit to working towards giving away 40% of our resources
  

VF as Kingdom Focused People have GOSPEL Focused Values: 

• G – Grace/Generosity (God is a giver and a forgiver, we want to be like Him)

• O – Outreach (Global and Local Missions)

• S – Serve (We love our community, church body, and share God’s love in practical ways)

• P – Prayer (We are a Spirit-led and empowered people)

VF’s Mission: Be a hub of Spirit-empowered disciple-making movements where people everywhere are saved, transformed, and released to “do the stuff” Jesus did.  

VF Purpose Statement: VF will be a body of believers that loves God, makes disciples, and impacts the world.

We are not a church membership type place. We believe people belong before they become and if you call VF home then we believe that you will be around regularly and growing in how you give your time, talent, and treasure to the church and that you will be part of our disciple-making and missional efforts.
